Barossa Valley Winery Tours by Barossa Daimler Tours | Private Wine tours of the Barossa Valley.

Barossa Daimler Tours are sorry to advise that after 30 wonderful years, due to circumstances beyond our control, our business is now closed and will not be re-opening.

We are so grateful to all of our past guests and clients, who became our Barossa ambassadors and were like extended family to us!

We would also like to thank all of the wine producers, restaurants, cafes, bars, bistros, butcher shops, bakeries, accommodation houses and everyone else who made our tours possible.   And to the local Barossa Tourism Authority, South Australian Tourism Commission and Tourism Australia for their continuous support.

We salute you all!

Best regards,   John and Libby

Barossa Daimler Wine Tours have received many wonderful accolades including;

"When I die, if I have been good, I hope to find myself in the back of John's Daimler on an eternal tour of the glorious wineries of The Barossa".  Susan Attwood - The Sunday Telegraph, UK.

Barossa Daimler Tours offers luxury wine touring experiences, far and above the average wine tour.

All tours are with John, a well-connected and passionate wine enthusiast, who has an encyclopaedic knowledge of the Barossa wineries and all they offer.   John will get you closer to the locals, the characters, the places, and the wines of this great wine region.

Daimler Tours are non-sharing and private, and personally tailored to guests individual tastes and interests. Tours can include the famous icons, the small family owned gems, the upcoming producers, or a combination of these. A tour with John includes entertaining commentary on the wine, terroir, history and culture, plus premium wine tastings, and a very warm welcome at all the cellar doors.

Take the rare opportunity to sit back in the comfort of a rare and historic 1962 Daimler, and take in the stunning scenery of seasonally changing vineyards and quaint working villages.

Meet the winemakers and locals, and share in Johns close relationships with the industry after 25 years of private wine touring.  John's a colourful character, with a memorable sense of humour, and his personal introductions are priceless!

You can be a wine connoisseur, and this tour will be perfectly suited for you.  Or....you can be a keen beginner who wants to learn more about wine and why you like it.

Our classic, air-conditioned Daimlers offer a rare opportunity to spend a day in a luxury vehicle from a bygone are.  We all stop and watch as historic vehicles pass, but how often do we have the opportunity to ride in one....the walnut and leather interior, the smell and feel of the historic vehicle with its original V8 engine, is a very rare offering.

These Majestic Major Daimlers were brought to Australia for Royal Tours in the sixties & have trasported members of the Royal family including Queen Elizabeth II, the Queen Mother, Princess Margaret and the Duke of Edinburgh.  One was used by Harold Holt while Prime Minister of Australia.

It's pure luxury for two persons, and when required, they can seat up to 8 passengers - true!   Barossa Daimler Tours have 2 identical Daimlers.

A full day Barossa Valley tour includes a sumptuous lunch at Vintners Restaurant and afternoon tea at Maggie Beers Farm Shop.

You may want to stop to taste the cheeses, olives, oils, metwursts and gourmet delights  -  whatever makes for the best day for you, is the best day for us!  Boutique beer and gin tastings can also be included (at added cost).

"I've travelled the world and this is up there with the best of the best. A pleasure"
Derek Lambie - Scottish Sunday Express Editor

"John has an encyclopaedic knowledge of the region. A restless passion never leaves him as he talks about the Barossa and its wines. This is no ordinary tour operator"
Mukund Padmanbhan - The Hindu, India.
